Inspired by Japan.
Forme & Field began with the owner's time in Japan, where he studied at Tokyo Gakugei University. Living and studying there became the starting point for a lasting interest in Japanese aesthetics and the place of art in everyday life.
His travels through Asia broadened that inspiration. The collection brings together a sensitivity to nature, an appreciation of craft and a desire to carry something of those experiences home.
That perspective runs through the Stillness Collection: the patient curve of a pine, the delicate shape of a lily, a distant landscape and gold tracing the repair of a ceramic bowl. Each composition offers a different expression of the same idea—beauty worth taking time to notice.
Forme & Field is a personal response to those years of study and travel, expressed through artwork for spaces where life can feel a little quieter.
